More than thousands of Historic books as well as papers of the British Library collection will be planed to be online through a new kind of partnership with the Google.
This deal was finalized on the Monday which also stated that near about 250,000 copies will be published online as well as went online between the period of 18 th century and 19 th century. Moreover it will give the internet user the benefit of search, read or copy text for free either from the website of the British Library or through the Google Books.
As ABC news reported that this deal applies into the work in the library’s collection which are now not being covered by the copyright restriction. Not only that the British Library also has a collection of 14 millions of books as well as 1 million of periodicals.
Dame Lynne, the chief executive of the British Library London, declared that this deal was done at a press conference in London on this Monday.
Moreover Google Books can be say a venture by the US search technology giant which was started in the year of 2004 and has already made some similar details along with other libraries all around the world. Also the Google Book has already scanned near about 15 millions of copies till yet. But now it has been opposed by this publishing industry, which is now the subject of a legal battle in the country of United States.
At the end of Last year Google has also announced its plans for digitalizing near about 40 million pages of newspaper all around the world.
