Sony’s Android Devices – Xperia Active and Xperia Ray

Sony has recently launched 2 android devices into the market; but when the android market is already oozing out with fantastic devices, will these two devices from Sony create a niche for themselves? Let’s cut these two devices into the bones and try to find out an answer to the conundrum.

The two new kids from the Sony Ericsson are named as Xperia Active and Xperia Ray and both of them run on the latest android version that is Gingerbread 2.3. As far as the latest version of the Gingerbread is concerned, that is a fantastic operating system and most of the Gingerbread users are satisfied with the performance of the OS from Google. But when it comes to the android space, lots of reputed handset makers are already launched their android devices and the market is already crammed, one can say. So any new device has to struggle a lot to grab any share in the android market.
Xperia Active and Xperia Ray
If any one looks at these two new devices from Sony then those look impressive to the eye at the first sight. The Xperia ray is particularly designed for the users, who want to have a sleek phone and on the other hand, the Xperia active is for the smart and active people, as the name suggests. The Xperia Ray is only 9.44mm thick and it has a wide screen of 3.3 inch length. Along with that, this device has 1 GHz processor and an 8.1 MP camera, which takes astounding snaps.

On the other hand, the Xperia Active has a 3 inch long screen and same 1 GHz processor and 5 MP cameras. The camera of this device will not disappoint you, although it is only of 5 MP.

Though both of these two devices are feature packed and are able to give the user a decent computing experience but the real key to success lies somewhere else. There are handful of great devices is already present in the android market; so a new device has to be exceptional to taste the sweet taste of success. People are hesitating to go for new devices these days, unless until there is something really great on offer and none of these two devices from Sony has anything great to offer. So, the verdict is the path ahead for the new devices from Sony seems more rough than smooth.
