Till now carriers like Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile were carrying the latest version of BlackBerry Bold. But AT&T was not in the race till date. But most recently AT&T has announced that they are going to come in the same category supporting the latest BlackBerry Bold. It has been announced at the company’s side that the people, who were waiting long for AT&T to support the latest BlackBerry Bold will not have to wait much longer. AT&T will be found carrying the BlackBerry Bold from the coming August 2012.
AT&T has announced that they will soon increase the monthly fees for mobile insurance. The increased fees will be applicable from the coming 4th October 2011. The company has charged $ 4.99 for one month and an additional non – refundable deductible price for the replacement claims.
Brenda Rainey, the spokesperson of Verizon has said that Verizon will not be selling Samsung Galaxy S II. The phone which runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread has been doing good business in the European countries. However, the residents of the Untied States need not be disappointed because other network providers such as Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile will sell the Galaxy II. As of now, Verizon is selling another similar model of Samsung smart phone, Samsung Droid Charge.
TracFone, the prepaid carrier, is all set to launch its first Android smart phone. The brand under which the phone will be launched is Straight Talk and it is provided at Walmart. The new device is an offshoot of Samsung Galaxy Prevail. It is called Galaxy Precedent and is for Boost Mobile. The date of the launch is yet to be clarified but the device will enter the market this September. The Galaxy Precedent will be an entry-level device powered by the Android technology. The hardware of Galaxy Precedent is the same as that of Galaxy Prevail. The major features of the device are a 2 mega pixel camera, 2.3 inch display and the operating system is Android 2.2 Froyo. As of now Galaxy Prevail is being sold for $180.
Research in Motion, the maker of BlackBerry has announced a feast for BlackBerry followers with many new smart phones ready for release. The phones will work on different network providers. The release is slated for the next few weeks. The phones will work on various providers not just in the United States but all over the world. The BlackBerry Torch 9810, which is one of the multiple phones destined for release, will be hosted by AT&T. AT&T will also sell three of the phones by RIM. The other two models that will be sold by AT&T are BlackBerry Bold touch screen and BlackBerry Torch 9860, which is a touch only smart phone. BlackBerry Touch and Torch 9850, which is a variety of Torch, will be sold under Sprint Nextel brand. This BlackBerry smart phone bonanza was announced today.
