Seagate Unveils GoFlex 4TB External Heard Drive

Hard disk manufacturer company Seagate today announces their upcoming product 4TB GoFlex external hard disk drive, which is a high capacity single volume external device in this existing market.

Though, in this occasion the company has not explained yet how many platters are inside this external hard disk device but from their last release of 1TB external a platter drive, it can be assumed that this hard disk must contain at least four platters along with maintaining areal density of 625Gb/s per square inch inside it.

Moreover, at the time of launching this brand new device they have not mentioned the cache size as well as the speed of this beautiful device, though they have mentioned that this brand new heard disk device will support USB 2.0 and USB 3.0.

Additionally the authority of Seagate has also told that they will bring the Mac version of it later within this month, which will offer for USB 2.0 port and FireWire compatibility. Though, GoFlex Desk and Mac versions are associated with similar features but the thing which divides this two is HFS+ format.

The authority have also mentioned that like the other GoFlex inheritance, this brand new GoFlex Desk will also allow its user to change its adapters to work within a range of interfaces such as FireWIre, eSATA and USB.

Additionally this hard disk manufacturing company has also included a new design in it, with the help of that they demanded that it will become standard across the whole lineup of GoFlex by the end of the month. Though the company has mentioned that their this 4TB GoFlex external hard disk drive will be 2.93 pounds in weight and will come out by including a power supply cord. So, on that point of view it can not be determined as a portable device.
