Mozilla Unveils Firefox 7.0 By Improving Memory Usage

Open source software giant Mozilla has launched their final build version of Firefox 7.0 for windows, Linux and Mac today. As the company claims that within this latest release they have corrected the former issue, which has plugged this browser over the past several iterations – which on the other hand generates a faster as well as more responsive web browsing experience.

It is true that Firefox has been plugged with some memory leak issues since a long time, that’s why the team of Mozilla finally addressed this in their latest version Firefox 7. Also MemShrink can be defined as an initiative which has started in June in order to eradicate the browser’s memory inconsistencies.

Though, the main aspect of MemShrink is better garbage collection of Javascript, that’s why now it has been quiet easier to free up more memory at the time of opening multiple tab.

Moreover, with the use of this new techniques the user of it will get the benefit of leaving the running browser on the background, cause it will free up unused memory automatically – on the other hand it can be defined as the main advantages of Mozilla Firefox 7 over earlier Firefox versions.

Firefox 7 must be more stable than the previous versions, because earlier versions of Firefox results fewer crashes due to mishandling of OOM or aborts. So, from that point of view it must be more consistence than previous version, because little changes at the section of OOM has done in this newer versions.

Last but not in the list Nicholas Nethercote, the developer of Mozilla, has said “Our brand new Firefox version uses 20 to 50 percent less memory than our other Firefox versions.”
