Asus Going To Launch Laptop With Swivel Mode

DigiTimes has revealed that Asus is going to launch their latest ultrabook type laptop which will offer the same transportability facility like tablet. Asus has claimed to design the new laptop with swivel feature that will allow it to convert in to a tablet. The device is believed to make its first debut at the next Computex in Taipei in Taiwan in the coming year although Asus has not yet officially declared any name for the device.  The device is expected to be available in market for sale when Microsoft will release its latest Windows 8 Operating System in the next year.

Asus has already done the experiment of incorporating the feature of Swivel in its Eee PC T91 netbook which was released in 2009. But we didn’t find many of it in market. But with time the feature is getting popular more and more. May be for that reason Asus has thought to reuse the feature and the Taiwanese computer manufacturing company has designed its forthcoming laptop with the feature to convince people to buy laptops instead of buying tablets.

According to technology experts the forthcoming Windows 8 Operating System from Microsoft cannot have a better escort than the aforementioned laptop from Asus. It has been assured at the company’s side that people can use the laptop in a complete computer desktop manner with external keyboard and ones they select the swivel option they can use it as a tablet with the facility of touchscreen keyboard and Metro UI.

The new device is believed to overcome the previous shortcomings of Eee PC T91 netbook. In addition the new device will be powered by Intel Ivy Bridge processors that will provide better performance. The Taiwanese company has not yet disclosed details about the features and the pricing of the laptop.
