Asus is going to launch their Eee Pad Transformer Prime ‘hybrid’ tablet all over the world in the coming month of December. The tablet will be associated with the Nvidia’s quad – core Tegra 3 processor for the first time in the world.
Johney Shih, who is the chairman of Asus disclosed the Transformer Prime in the last month during an interview at conference AsiaD. That was the first appearance of the tablet in public. Although he did not disclosed much about its features at that time we know about its outstanding and mouth watering features in details now.
Nvidia has already claimed that their quad – core Tegra 3 SoC is able to perform in five times more speed than the former Tegra 2. To be more specific, the processor will offer four times faster web browsing facility and three times better graphics standard.
The Eee Pad Transformer Prime ‘hybrid’ tablet will come in a slim 8.3 mm or 0.33 inch appearance which will weigh 586 grams. Among other basic features the device will offer 8 mega pixel rear view camera with LED flash, F/2.4 aperture and a CMOS sensor featuring low light noise reduction. The display details will include 1280 x 800 resolution Super IPS+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass offering 600 units of brightness.
The discussed device is expected to offer 32 GB or 64 GB of internal memory with an essential micro SD card slot that will help in expanding external memory and file transferring. Except the above mentioned features the Transformer Prime will include 1 GB system memory, micro HDMI port, 3.5 mm standard jack. It has been assured at the company’s side that the battery will provide up to 12 hours of support on the tab and 18 hours of support while using the optional dock.
Asus has declared that the 32 GB model will cost $ 499 and the 64 GB model will cost $ 599 while the additional mobile dock accessory will come in extra $ 149.
