Today Shuttle’s admitted that their desktop sales are suffering due to the rise of the tablet is making. In this case a representative of Shuttle also explained the exact reason behind its push into the business sector which is much more about the harm of the tablets as well as other mobile devices that are already doing in its traditional strategy rather than plain diversification.
So they are now focusing to utilize much more of its resources here at the Computex in order to generate more interest from the business sector in spite of the customer. They are also looking at the digital signage as well as point of sales of their equipment in order to try to take over the short time fall in its selling of desktop. Additionally Shuttle has been known for their small form factor desktop machines for long years and they were too much successful of making that yet.
Due to the rise and rise of the nATX as well as recently launched Mini ITX motherboard makers may well also have had some sort of impact on the Shuttle’s rather niche sales strategy. So it has been trying to get into the tablet game through in spite of a great many manufactures and also like ECS it is now concentrating its effort on chasing ODM and OEM customers in spite of creating its own brand.
Unsurprisingly Shuttle would not yet announced the mane of its current UK OEM partner, but playing with both company’s OEM is now offering today, but I can clearly see why it might not want its name to be attached with the products that which has on the display in Taipei. Also Shuttle is steadfastly sticking for a non Windows operating system along with Nvidia’s Tegra after being a good hardware choice.
But unfortunately the main chassis are at present inevitably genetic as well as lacking in the flair or personally and sadly the main build quality is looks like short of additional offerings.
So the decision to look forward towards the main business sector may not even be a bad move at all.
