As the competition increases in every sphere of life, the Android mobile phones are also involved in some fierce competition. The manufacturers are constantly coming up with new and improved devices to cope up with the market demand and produce the best possible device. Android devices of today are being built with the best possible technology. The Samsung Epic 4G Touch resembles the Galaxy S II but promises to be much more than that. There are some interesting specifications which are likely to attract a good number of consumers. But in times of tremendous competition it will be interesting how this new devices fares in the market. The features of the Samsung Epic 4G Touch are quite interesting and some of them are mentioned below.
The phone works on a 1.2 GHz of processor. It may not be the best but it has certainly done a fair job. The phone was quick and responsive and performed smoothly throughout the greater part of the time of use. The performance nevertheless could have been better. The 1800 mAH battery produced some decent battery backup. It lasted for a good number of hours. The internal memory storage of the phone is of 16GB. Overall the performance of the Epic 4G is fairly good.
The 4G speeds are quite great and people who are not used to it will certainly enjoy the promptness of the 4G.
As we have seen before, Samsung has chosen plastic over metal this time as well. However the look of the phone is nowhere lost due to the plastic coverings. The Epic 4G Touch is a good device to carry everywhere and fits nicely in our pockets. The Galaxy S II had a display of 4.3 inches but here in case of the Epic 4G we see a 4.52 inches display. Hence with the size of the display increasing and along with an increase in the thickness might have made people feel that the phone is heavier and bigger and will be difficult to carry. But the plastic helps in lowering the weight and the phone slips nicely in our pockets and is very comfortable to hold as well.
The Super AMOLED display having a resolution of 480×600 is simply superb. The pictures are bright and detailed. The sound quality has also been impressive. The 8 megapixel camera with LED flash captures some great pictures. The videos shot are of 1080p.
There is USB port, a volume rocker and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Overall the phone is quite great and it will be interesting to see how it fares in the market.
