The HP EliteBook 2560p is a powerful device which performs quite brilliantly. It is actually a business notebook but it has some excellent configurations which makes it stand out. The EliteBook combines beauty with performance and so it will certainly make a mark in the notebook industry.
The 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5-2520M is the power behind this notebook. Combined with the 4GB RAM the processor is quite high on performance. It can easily execute a number of tasks at the same time. The integrated Intel HD 3000 Graphics card is quite efficient in running the high definition videos. The 320GB, 7200 rpm hard drive is very useful and it clearly shows the capacity of this notebook. The two softwares namely the HP Power Assistant and the HP QuickWeb helps in performing important functions quite easily.
The interesting software of the name HP Protect Tools helps us to ensure absolute security for our netbook. There is also a fingerprint reader located towards the bottom left corner. The battery backup is not bad and the one having the six cell battery lasts for nearly 8 hours.
The HP EliteBook 2560p is marvellously designed and it looks very smart and stylish. The Dura Case design combined with the brushed aluminium finish is really good for the eye. It also has an expensive touch in its outlook. The keys of the keypad are in black and touchpad is grey in colour. One can comfortably type with the help of these keys and the touchpad is also very responsive. The pointing stick is situated between the keys G, B and H.
The 12.5 inch display is protected by a DisplaySafe casing which helps to keep out dust. The picture quality is good although some modifications are needed at times. The audio is also great and the SRS Premium Sound helps us to adjust the settings according to our needs. The audio in the webcam works well though the video may blur during a call. However the pictures taken through the webcam are of a decent quality.
There are a number of ports to satisfy the different needs including three USB 2.0 ports, a headphone-cum-mike jack, a docking connector, a VGA port, an Ethernet jack and a secure lock.
The HP EliteBook will certainly cause a stir with its brilliant configurations but some of its competitors like the ThinkPad of Lenovo may make it tough for this netbook to capture the whole market.
