In the modern education system study has become almost impossible without personal computers or laptops. Keeping this in mind Lenovo has planned to launch their special laptop series for students. The new ThinkPad X130e, the company has claimed is specially designed to help in education. Lenovo has incorporated the ThinkPad X130e with features, necessary for students like 33 per cent more solid corners, rubber jolts to make the sides of the laptop more bump absorber, strong hinges, more resistant and well-built ports and in addition a 1.2mm thick plastic bezel to guard the screen of the laptop.
The 11.6 inches laptop comes in 3.9Ibs which is indeed perfect for students. The company has not yet revealed all the details of the features of the ThinkPad X130e, so we have come to know a very little about it. The laptops are expected to run on both the Intel and AMD’s configuration, specifically the system is powered by Intel’s Core i3-2367M ULV besides AMD’s E300 and E450 Zacate APUs. The RAM memory will be up to 2 GB, the mechanical memory storage will be of 500 GB and the flash storage memory will be of 128 GB. The 6-cell battery of the laptop will allow it to run for up to 8.5 years which makes a whole school day.
Other than the basic features the Lenovo ThinkPad X130e is designed with sub-20-second startup supported by Lenovo’s RapidBoot technology and a webcam which is not very powerful. The connectivity features include 3 USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI and VGA-out, Ethernet, and a 4-in-1 card reader. All the awesome features will come in just $ 469. According to the sources Lenovo will start to ship the ThinkPad x130e laptops from December 20, 2011. However, in this Christmas the ThinkPad X130e will be the most desired gift of the students.
