Lenovo Introduces Three New Tablets in the Market

Lenovo been known for creating top of the line desktop and laptop in the industry everince.  With the booming industry of the tablet, Lenovo decided to launched their own brand of tablets in the market. The tablet could either come with Windows 7 or Google Android (Honeycomb) for its operating system.

The K1 tablet uses Android 3.1 Honeycomb. The K1 tablet has the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, weighs in at 1.63 pounds, and includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The tablet also has a 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calling and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The screen is 10.1-inches, has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and supports ten-point multi-touch. Storage capacity depends on the model and includes 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions. Other features also includes a 2-cell battery good for ten hours use, microSD card slot, Micro HDMI out, and a SIM card port.

As Lenovo focuses on the general consumer, K1 can use Netflix streaming.

Bill Holmes, Netflix vice president of Business Development say their excited to know that TV show can now be watched over a tablet.  Although, this is already a noteworthy development for the company, they also seek to expand the benefits of their services to several people worldwide. With K1, consumers now have greater choice in selecting a tablet device, which will fit both their entertainment and business needs.

The other Android referred to as the ThinkPad Tablet.  Most of the features included in K1 can also be seen on this Android. It can run on Android 3.1 Honeycomb just like the K1.  However, the ThinkPad Tablet is fit for the business-minded professionals. The tablet supposedly to be used as a notebook companion device and has an optional digitizer, SD card slot, USB port and an elective folio Case. The ThinkPad Tablet data security coated and designed for supporting IT managers. It has a 10.1-inch screen with Gorilla Glass and can support Computrace software the LanDesk secure email. The tablet is available in either 16GB or 64GB versions comes along with same cameras like the K1.

Aside from the two tablets unveiled, Lenovo revealed that there is a third tablet on the market – IdeaPad P1 tablet.  It runs on Intel processor at 1.5GHz and has either Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Home Premium. Tablet screen is a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 unit, and it has GMA600 HD graphics. The tablet includes 2GB of RAM and can be can be bundled with either 32GB or 64GB of storage. The P1 also features a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth inside and sports a microSD card reader, docking port, as well as headphone adapter. The front camera is a 2MP unit. The tablet can last up to 6-hours.
