Nokia, the leading manufacturer of mobile handsets has recently launched the Nokia E7 which promises to further increase its reputation of producing some of the best handsets ever. It looks like a Nokia N8 while the slider reminds us of the Nokia N97.The phone consists of a QWERTY keypad which possesses nicely designed soft keys that are easy for the fingers to play with. An AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 360×640 pixels combined with its smart finishing gives the phone an expensive and gorgeous look. On the top of the phone there is the 3.5mm jack on the left and microUSB v2.0 port on the right. Despite its relatively low resolution the screen displays striking colors consisting of dark grey, orange, blue, green and silver white. It has an 8MP camera with dual LED flash and a resolution of 3266×2450 pixels, placed on the back.
The video recording is good and possesses a remarkable sound quality. The slider of the phone opens up with a good push towards the right direction of the base. The sound of the music in the phone is quite brilliant. The phone supports nearly all kinds of music formats including MP3, WMA and WAV but does not support the FLAC format. The volume of the music can reach up toquite a high level. E7 also supports multiple types of video formats and it is wonderful to watch these videos considering the large display of the phone. However it may refuse to play videos over 2GB size. The phone has a 680MHz ARM11 processor and a Broadcom BCM2727 GPU with a Symbian^3 OS.
It has messaging services of SMS, e-mail (and push e-mail as well) and MMS. The internet connectivity of the phone is quite impressive with 3G connections of HSDPA 10.2Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps along with EDGE and GPRS. There is a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a Bluetooth. The GPS with an A-GPS support works very fast and Ovi Maps 3.0 are available which are very descriptive. The phone has a 16GB in built memory and a ROM of 1GB. The 256MB RAM helps the user to perform multiple tasks at a time. The E7 supports a Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery which may turn out to be quite long-lasting. There is a HDMI port with which if you connect the Nokia E7 adaptor to the HDMI cable you may also watch television on the phone itself! The resolution is 640×460 but there is a provision for Dolby digital plus sound. The HD videos may look excellent on the phone.
